Port this app to latest Qt 6.8 desktop

Dear Developer,

I am a Qt/C++ developer keen to use bits and pieces of this cool app in my research work.

Motivation is to fix an old 2002 model car on which many OBD2 scanners are failing.

Glad it's helpful to you! This is some REALLY old code, so I apologize in advance for the general quality. Feel free to ask any questions if you run into anything, I'll leave this issue open for a while.

I intended to rewrite this, but most of the vehicles I tend to stick my own computers on are old enough not to have OBD, so I've not yet gotten around to it

Why I am working with OBD2 Opensource App:-

1. I am trying to convert an old Nissan Serena 2002 van to camper-van, but it has several issues to be fixed. The most of OBD2 scan apps and tools dont work with it, so I am writing my own tool with a set a commands that can help me. The expensive OBD2 scanners can work but I thought of creating some Linux desktop/Qt open source app.

2. Here is the app I am working on using bits and pieces from your code:-

   Seems like I might be reinventing the wheel or reverse engineering things to enhance my understanding :)

3. I am trying to use the obd thread in app or I am confused to used python obd and do most of work in it. and send/back forth data to Qt UI.

No app is able to connect to my car's ECU. No sure if I should change van's ECU - LOL
