BUG: Rotate interface

There's a bug when the viewcontroll is active and the rotate the mobile interface
Please can you fix it?

Hey @paoloandrea thanks! Yes this is currently a bug. I don't think I'll have much time over the next few weeks to dive in and fix, but feel free to try to take a stab at it yourself, and if it works I'll merge it in!
