Add Spotify API integration #46
Description
Create spotify cog with spotify music - related features
Planed features:
- Connectiong to channel
- Playing from url, title, playlists
- All features like stopping, resuming, voice volume, etc.
Optional:
- YouTube integration
About multiple TOSes
Note that Discord voice bots are allowable under Youtube API TOS 🥳 ( read thread here ) until they make modifications or commercialize ( this may relate to instance as a whole )
"While bots in and of themselves are currently allowable under the ToS, they have to not make modifications or commercialize themselves."
Youtube support would be neat, but I will focus on Spotify first ( they may be made in to one feature with f. ex. separate commands )
Remember to respect Spotify Terms of Service for clean record
And hir is Youtube TOS, which should be respected too.
Workflow
I hope it to be first fully operational feature to be finished before 1.0.0 release ( About time no? )
I will leave everything as-is, unless it will be crucial for new features ( I doubt anything will ).
Point of this feature
I want this bot to be The-Only-One-You-Will-Need ( One can dream, right? ), but to be serious, music is CRITICAL for efficient work and as this bot is meant to help in work in future, music is must-have!
