Overlay disappears halfway through the page

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to www.pearson.com on chrome
2. Activate WTFocus
3. Start tabbing through the page until you reach the play button for the animated banner. Notice how each focused element borders from that point on shows up and the data is populated in the console properly but the overlay is not displayed from that point on.
