How to adjust the used font?

I'm using textrotate, because there is obviously no better way to rotate table headers in DokuWiki.

I have some questions:

• How to change the used font?
  The currently used font differs in style, size from the default.
• Isn't it possible to use some CSS transformations instead of heavy image rendering based in GD?
