Is there any reason why the compiler warnings have never been fixed?

I don't think they are not fixed intentionally. Also, different compilers report different warnings (Windows, Linux, macOS), but developers tend to use only a single platform during development and don't check warnings on other ones. Some warnings are probably related to legacy code that's being compiled on modern compilers.
