The obstacle flow in the examples directory is pretty limited and old. It should be updated.
Describe the solution you'd like
create example flow for 2D and 3D circular cylinder, incorporating efficient Bounce Back Boundaries #270 and typical observables: Drag coefficient, Lift coefficient and Strouhal number, calculated from the force exerted on the obstacle in the flow #271 .
Or average velocity-, pressure- and reynolds-stress-profiles for higher Reynolds numbers.
Simple Inflow: EquilibriumInlet with fixed velocity and pressure values
Simple outflow: EquilibriumOutlet with fixed pressure and extrapolated velocity
lateral boundaries: periodic or walls (channel flow with parabolic inlet velocity profile)
