Button not staying lit #1

Hi, thanks for this module, super cool.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I am trying to setup a simple action that changes the button colour when held, and goes back to unlit when released. I setup the action to use button 1,1 as the input trigger, configured the TRUE condition to set the button 1,1 to red, and the FALSE condition to set the button to black.
When I press the button it flashes red for a split second and then goes black, despite the action showing as still active (green) in chataigne.
When manually triggering the true/false conditions via the UI it works fine, button lights on true, goes out on false. But when triggering via the APC button it just flashes briefly.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks
