Map routes

I 'm Interested in using your API for indoor navigation maps, however, I came across a weakness of it, how i may draw routes on your map? (I mean literally draw the lines)
have you ever considered something about it?

I was thinking about it and I had an idea, if we set a fixed point in every beginning and ending points of corridor, door, courves, etc. and then draw a line between each point as a route.
Do you have any better/optimized/lighter ideas?
