Where does the thumbprint come from?

Thanks for posting these notebooks publicly.

In Tutorial 1 (nbview) you reference thumbprint and authorized_keys. The comments above show how you generate myPrivateKey.key, myCert.pem and myCert.pfx keys but do not mention these items.

I am having trouble reproducing this step. Could you post how you generated them?

Short answers for generating two files are:
thumbprint: openssl x509 -in myCert.pem -fingerprint -noout|cut -d"=" -f2|sed 's/://g'> thumbprint
authorized_keys: ssh-keygen -f myPrivateKey,key -y >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

I also updated the tutorial with these commands.

Thanks that works, the VM has been created successfully. However when I try to ssh into the machine with:

ssh  -i myPrivateKey.key  azureuser@my-service-name.cloudapp.net

I get:

Permission denied (publickey).

full ssh log here

I expected this to work. Do you know what the issue is?
