Make new Herwig samples #9

@lawrenceleejr

Description

@lawrenceleejr
  • @cbell1402 will run the MG+P8 Z+gamma samples, but this time save out the LHE (might be called .events or .events.gz) file that's produced as well. This is the output of MadGraph. Put that file somewhere clear on SERF212a for @enibigir

  • @enibigir will take that file and shower it in Herwig using the rivet-herwig docker image to produce a HepMC file that can be run through Delphes. Some documentation for the LHE interface to Herwig here: https://phab.hepforge.org/w/mcnet2019/

  • Lower priority: Charles takes a recipe from Emery for how to shower an LHE file with Herwig via a docker command, so that it can be incorporated into the central steering script.
