When working with raw images (e.g. to generate the lens shading table) I currently rely on the blacklevel being 64. This is only true for the camera module v2, running on a Pi <=4. It would be nice to read the black level from the camera, so this is not hard-coded. That might even allow a high quality camera to be calibrated reliably for LST and colour balance.
