In CT2XRAY why we need to standardising the ct

In the folder CT2XRAY file ctpro.py why you are making

• resample to standard spacing (keep physical scale stable, change pixel numbers)

• crop to standard shape (scale x scale x scale) (keep pixel scale consistency)

before giving into plastimatich DRR generation, I tried without standarded the MHA ct formate I am not getting the proper DRR generation.

can you please tell me the proper reason for the standardising?
