Not able to get the selected value while editing

Above are the 3 images from the demo link provided in the git repo.

1. Initial data is china.
   2- I update it to another country even that displays all good.
   3- When i click back to edit. Again i get china by default instead i should get the other country.

Same is the situation that i am facing in using this package in my web app.
Please provide your suggestions if any.
