Syncing problem/question

I find it difficult to use Firefox Sync for synchronization because this would be the only extension I'd want do synchronize and firefox doesn't support selective sync as far as I know.

Is there another way to synchronize or are there plans to implement some?
(i.e. file export would already satsify me so I could use other programs to synchronize. Although I can understand if you think this wouldn't fit to this neat, lightweight extension, props for that btw, I think the UI is beautiful, too).

Hello, thanks for feedback.

At this moment is only one solution. Notes are stored by using add-ons sdk simple-storage API. When you open/close your browser all changes loads/saves in a single ...\jetpack\unote@kosmodrey\store.json file which located in Firefox profile directory (on Windows would be: %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ [profile folder] \jetpack\unote@kosmodrey\store.json). So, you can freely backup and restore (and edit) this file (browser restart required).

In next version I plan to implement restore/backup button for end-users. Sync with other services (like Evernote or Dropbox) takes some exploration in theirs API's. I need take a look. Any suggestions/wishes in specific service?

BTW, selective sync is a good idea for next extension ;)

Alright, this already fits my needs I guess! I use SyncThing for synchronization and I think syncing this file will result in my wishes. Thank you so much!

For the restore/backup feature I'd suggest a JSON in/export, but I don't know if this would be the best solution. Maybe a automized export/backup feature would be cool? I'm not sure.

Due to migration to indexedDB, starting from version 0.7.0 all notes will be saved in %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles_[profile folder]_\storage\permanent\indexeddb+++unote-at-kosmodrey folder as a SQLite file. Backup\restore json file from settings page still work the same way.
