Problems sync'ing Info Pane with Satellite Selector

During Earth Day presentations, it became clear that selecting satellites by clicking on them and by pulling down the Satellite selector caused the selector and Info Pane to become out of sync.

I think we need to completely revamp the event handler, possibly with AngularJS.
