Cool project! I made a little tampermonkey script to toggle a column layout so you can see the entire tab on a wide screen. See the before and after screenshots and you will get what it does. The script lives here if anybody is interested (feel free to use it in the repot or not. ha.): https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/550401-freetar-adjustable-columns-global-show-columns-toggle

It turns the chords/lyrics area into tidy, side-by-side columns that take up 80% of your screen height. Each column adjusts to fit the longest line so nothing gets cut off. The page expands to full width for extra space. You can scroll sideways to see more columns.

Features:

  • ▲ / ▼ buttons let you move one line at a time between columns, so you can avoid breaks in the middle of a verse.
    • Column layouts adjusted with the ▲ / ▼ buttons save for each specific tab page and are restored when you return.
  • A “Show Columns” switch (next to Transpose) remembers your choice across sessions.
    • Toggle it off to bring back the original single-column view.
