Hi Kimberly, We have a provenance test with half sib families distributed in a randomized block design, where we wish to apply QstFstComp. However the analysis of variance components conducted with lmer reveals a significant effect of blocks. Because of that, Qst estimates obtained from a model including blocks as a fixed effect differ from the model excluding blocks.
Is there a way to include the block effect when comparing Qst and Fst with QstFstComp?
