Consistent code principles and conventions

At the moment the code style of the project is not consistent, but rather highly influenced by self-imposed conventions and principles. Therefore all contributors should have access to some kind of collective code guideline/convention. Furthermore, the assistance of a tool at commit time or build time ist needed to check whether all rules/conventions were met.
