Hi Craig and Karthik,

As part of our validation efforts, we will need to estimate the uncertainty in our computational predictions of strain amplitude. Standards (e.g., ASME V&V 10, section 3.6) provide some guidance on this exercise and recommend sampling-based approaches for propagating variability in input parameters (e.g., geometry and material properties) to uncertainty in simulation outputs.

We would like to perform a sensitivity study similar to what you presented at SMST2015:

Would you have any recommendations for us before we proceed? Specifically, do you have any advice on how to best quantify the uncertainty in the individual material properties for the nitinol UMAT?
