Get raw data object back on linux, need contribution? #1

Hi,
after looking around, try some c-header bridges and stumpled over a few not-so-good packages I found this nice looking lib.
First of all, thank you very much for the clean code.
I didn't manage to try things out, yet but hopefully will get some time for my spare project the next days. What I need is:
- compiling for (sss) server side swift on linux docker image is mandatory
- need to tar a folder into memory. I think what I need is a return of this line
- passing in a blacklist of files (globs) that should not be inside the tar. In format like a .dockerignore
Before I started my own thing after reading your code. What do you think about the three capabilities. Would you like to have this included in your code, or are these features to special and another product?
