webauthn-json dependency no longer needed?

Its README says:

As of March 2025, stable versions of all major browsers now support the following methods:

PublicKeyCredential.parseCreationOptionsFromJSON(…)
PublicKeyCredential.parseRequestOptionsFromJSON(…)
PublicKeyCredential → .toJSON()
These should be used instead of @github/webauthn-json.

Reasons for change

We have observed 'slowness' when loading this javascript from the CDN in development.
"https://ga.jspm.io/npm:@github/webauthn-json@2.1.1/dist/esm/webauthn-json.browser-ponyfill.js"

webauthn-json will not receive any fixes/updates/new features
