Make it easier to merge the same layout with multiple data frames

This came up in one of my qPCR analysis scripts: I wanted to load the Cq and amplification data for the same layout.  This meant having the rewrite the code for applying the data loader to the paths in the layout.  I should think more about this use-case and how to make it more convenient.
