animateOutExplicitly Flicker

I have noticed that every so often there is a brief flash of the window in its original coordinates when calling animateOutExplicitly. This can be seen in the demo project as well. Is this a known issue? I'm using Xcode Version 10.2.1 w/ macOS 10.14 as the deployment target.

Is that running on 10.14 as well? I haven't maintained this project in over 5 years so unfortunately I'm not up to date with the changes that have happened in AppKit. I'm surprised it still somewhat works.

Can you replicate the animation you're looking for with a standard AppKit animation?
