UX feedback: The site is (way) too slow?

Hi!

I saw your infobeamer ad and got curios. When clicking around at https://hackertracker.app/, for most clicks I could count to 3 before things completed, even for display of a single single schedule entry, it felt like multiple seconds, jumping back to the listing too even longer. Humans perceive >300 milli(!)seconds as slow, so this is way too slow from a UX perspective, and the delay does not seem necessary from a user point of view.

I'm good with the ticket being closed "feedback received" if you do not want to keep it open. Thanks for listening and for making this app!

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

You’re right, the current experience is slower than it should be. The site is fully static, and many interactions currently trigger multiple network calls to Firebase to fetch and hydrate data on demand. That architecture keeps deploys simple and data fresh, but it does introduce real UX latency.

There’s clear room to improve this with fewer round trips, better client side caching and prefetching, and more intentional loading behavior.

This feedback is appreciated and noted, and we’ll follow up here as performance improvements land.
