This isn't a functionality issue with slipstream or rocket league, but rather more of a feature suggestion.
For epic users, you aren't going to have any time added to your time played if the epic games launcher isn't running, of course its not going to add time played.
Workarounds like adding slipstream to steam as a non steam game would technically solve this issue, but it just assumes that should be the only way to achieve recorded time, and assumes a user want to even do that, still assuming that user has a steam account.

What if time played was recorded and written to the config.json file? Or a separate file specifically for time played?
