ETA on version for Meteor 0.9?

I was wondering if/when there would be a version compatible with Meteor 0.9 and its new packaging system.

So far, I've found filter-collections to be the package that best meets our needs, but we have to move to 0.9 (for various reasons) and so now we're in a Catch-22 situation: if we stay on 0.8.3, we have filter-collections, but can't move forward, and if we go to 0.9 then we have to toss out all the views relying on FC...

I'm working on testing new package features for 0.8.x and once I've
finished that I will be repackaging for 0.9.
Will let you know once it is done (hope that this will be done in 2 or 3
weeks). What's is your timeframe?

Hi Julian,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the timeframe you mentioned is right - that would just about work for us; we'd stay on the 0.8.x branch until your package is ready, and then port to 0.9 at that time, just prior to release. Our overall timeframe is for a release at the end of September, or early October.

Checking in on this too... looks like someone forked for 0.9 support: https://github.com/tsega/filter-collections/tree/master

should we follow that or is there still a plan to update this for 1.0?

@funkyeah I must warn you that I just edited a few lines in the package.js file to make the package install on Meteor version 0.9+. I have not thoroughly tested it but it has worked flawlessly for my needs.

Just created the PR. Once we have this merged (hopefully soon) I will also remove the package I created on atmosphere.

@julianmontagna I can't find any package under your name on atmosphere. One reminder is that the installation command for package has changed; it is now meteor add youratmospherusername:yourpackagename, actual example meteor add iron:router. So the ReadMe instructions need to change as well.

Cool. Thanks for doing that. I too have enjoyed the package and have decent
luck with it working on 1.0
