libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The file cannot be found when trying to start Samira through rpm installation.

Appimage works fine.

Hello, could you try following the steps regarding libsteam_api.so in the README?

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib/libsteam_api.so

This issue has been reported before. I will probably discontinue rpm releases in the future since Tauri does not seem to package libraries properly at the moment. If possible, please consider using the AppImage.

Yes I already tried that but it seems that the file just does not exist in this location, so I searched for it in my steam install location, found it and did it again but nothing works.

I use the appimage in the mean time, and it works properly, but I wanted to install so I can update easily later on

You can find libsteam_api.so in the assets folder. Place it at that location ( or another location and adjust the path the command appropriately). Then set the path with the export command above.
