Samira crashing on startup

Appimage AND Rpm

System: Fedora 41, Up to Date, Nvidia, Steam installed through rpm-nonfree

I get the following error:

Cannot get default EGL display: EGL_SUCCESS
Cannot create EGL context: invalid display (last error: EGL_SUCCESS)

Hello, I tried but was not able to reproduce your error on a fresh install of Fedora 41. My suspicion is that this is related to Nvidia drivers.

Could you take a look at this issue and attempt some of the solutions? They use a similar stack and have gone through similar growing pains. My machine is on AMD and I'm not able to test further for now.

I had the same issue, but building it myself based on the current master branch seems to work correctly (only tried the appimage version)

found this command/tempfix from a different github issue

WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 ./samira_0.5.1_amd64.AppImage

which finally made it work for me

Are you on Nvidia and would you mind listing your specs for others that might come across this? I haven't had any luck reproducing the error since it was originally reported.
