Description
Running latest neoforge build of the mod on 1.21.10 (also on latest neoforge), on a standalone server.
Thing I have tried so far:
- I looked through past issues here, and found one similar to this, except they were running in offline mode and had made changes to the head url. I have not changed the head url and am running in online mode
- I assume this is some sort of caching problem; the minecraft client caches player skins the first time you see them, and if you're not able to resolve the skin url the first time your client sees it you'll get a default skin instead (which then is itself cached); but I don't see anything like this for servers, and the texture of heads placed in world is stored in the head itself not in some file on the server
- Looking through the css/js/html/the rest of this repo did not give me any clues as to where a supposed cache could be; I don't have the skillset to actually confirm this though which is why im asking for help
The issue in more details is:
My player head on the map viewer shows as the default "steve" head; other players on the server correctly show their actual head images.
Visiting https://mc-heads.net/avatar/bf685bdb-becd-417f-ac4e-a283d5768c66/16 (my head url) correctly displays my head and not the default steve; this is also true for the 1 other player on the server who is affected by this problem.
I have made no changes to the css/js of the server, and the config file is untouched except for me disabling the line that regenerates the css/js/html on load. I have changed index.html to point to my own set of favicons, but have made no other changes to the file (not that changes there would cause this problem.)
