ZwiftClick disconnecting problem

I'm having trouble connecting ZwiftClick to the BikeControl app. I'm following everything described in another thread, step by step.

1. I launch the Zwift app, pair it with the trainer, and everything is connected to ZwiftClick. I click ZwiftClick. I wait at least a minute, usually 5-10 minutes.
2. I close the Zwift app.
3. I launch the BikeControl app. The app connects to ZwiftClick. BikeControl doesn't receive any presses, and after a while, the connection is disconnected. This happens almost every time. I was able to change gears once in the MyWoosh app. I don't know what the problem is. ZwiftClick is visible in Bluetooth connections.

Thanks for the logs - I haven't seen that issue, yet.

Can you verify you're running the latest firmware on the Click V2? You can update with Zwift companion app if necessary.

I think you're running on a MacBook, right? Which macOS version?

And on the latest BikeControl version?

Zwift Click firmware version 1.1.0, yes I am using macbook pro with macOS Big Sur 11.7.10, and I can no longer update the system, BikeControl v 4.1.1 and I can't download a newer version either

managed to connect to zwiftclick, even BikeControl received clicks, but after a while it no longer works

Is that "after a while" after exactly a minute?

more or less like this, it works for about a minute, often it doesn't respond at all to ZwiftClick clicks. Zwift app always starts and stops before connecting to BikeControl

to me it still sounds like it's not "unlocked" completely - but hard to tell. Might also be the outdated hardware of your mac system. Does it work on another device you have available, e.g. Android or iPhone?

For now, I have only checked on MacBook Air macOS Monterey 12.7.4 and unfortunately it doesn't work either.
How can I explain that I managed to connect and do training on MyWoosh once?

How exactly the "unlock" state is working on the Zwift Click V2 remains a mystery. I personally had some instances where the device didn't need unlocking for a week, and then 24h only. Some users also reported that connecting the Click for unlocking only works for them with Zwift on Android or iOS.

So, there's no guarantee that ZwiftClick will work on, for example, an iPad Gen 9. If I wanted to buy one, would it be better to buy an Android tablet?

I don't see why it wouldn't work on an iPad, but due to Apple's limitations, you'd be limited to the "Link" connection method (and soon a much better one), whereas on Android, you also have the "Local" one available (touch simulation).

So if your goal is the best compatibility with trainer apps out there, then I would recommend an Android tablet indeed.
