In principle if you have the cross-sections you can calculate the non-Maxwellian rates. The way the q_ji and q_ij matrices get populated would need to change but I don't think this is a ton of work. Generally adf04 files are going to assume Maxwellian distributions so the excitation and de-excitation are linked by detailed balance. Its also no possible to take these files and do the non-Maxwellian calculation. You could potentially average values calculated at two temperatures, though depending on what you want to do exactly this might not be a good approximation. |
