JSON Server just randomly drops connection under windows 10

I have been using chilipeppr with the serial port json server running under windows 10 for several months and it was incredibly stable. Never actually had any issues with it - it was rock solid. I recently (yesterday) had to do a clean install of windows 10. Now whenever I run JSON serial port server it either doesn't connect, or drops out part way through a run. I've ruined two workpieces now.

Now I can't even get it to connect long enough to move the mill off the currently fecked workpiece. Busy spitting LOTS of nails.

Could it be a driver conflict or something? What do I do? I don't even know where to start.

If dropping part​ way guessing your USB connection drops and thus serial port disappears running job. Bad cable? Noise?
