Does not work on OSX 11.4 running node 14.15.0

Does not even wake up once. Code just hangs until ctrl-c is pressed.

Same behavior with macOS 12.51 and node.js v16.15.1. Looks like its the underlying deasync-promise library that is the issue as attempting to use that directly has the same behavior.
