Verify all 8 success criteria from the roadmap are met before marking the system as crucible-ready.

Success Criteria Checklist

  • Data realism: Model trained on 1000+ real alloys from Materials Project with clear stability criterion (E_hull ≤ 0.1)
  • Physics transparency: Can see WHY a material is recommended (thermodynamic stability, synthesizability probability, equipment fit, cost-benefit)
  • Composition validity: CSV tells exactly how many grams of each element to weigh for 100g batch
  • Uncertainty bounds: High-confidence vs exploratory candidates clearly flagged, with in-distribution status
  • Export precision: Can print CSV and walk into shop with concrete plan
  • Feedback closure: Outcomes (success/failure) are logged and influence future predictions
  • Model transparency: Can see accuracy, precision, recall, CV metrics in Model Diagnostics
  • Equipment match: Recommendations fit actual equipment (arc melter, furnace, etc.)

Verification Steps

  • Review each criterion systematically
  • Document evidence for each (screenshot, log output, CSV sample)
  • Get sign-off from at least one metallurgist or domain expert
  • Create final validation report

Acceptance Criteria

  • All 8 criteria are demonstrably met
  • Documentation proves each criterion
  • System is ready for real-world use
