Workshop 3 Scrum Update

Scrum Reports
Due Sunday @ 10pm after each workshop.

• One group member should make an issue in your project repo, and then each team member should make a comment on that issue.
• Include your NAME in your post (so we can give you a grade!)
• Answer 3 questions:
  • 1. What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
  • 2. What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
  • 3. What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?

• These are individual, so you are tracking your OWN work and duties
• Can use this as a resource when you’re writing about your project on your resume or LinkedIn -> look back and remember details about implementation
• We are having this due AFTER each workshop so that you are better able to understand the technology you’re going to be using
• The real effort comes from talking to your group and planning your next steps!
• Keep it short, succinct, and summarize the key points

Shubh - Last week I created the nav bar component making sure that it was responsive and adding click animations through material UI.
There were no issues that I faced last week since material UI provided good examples of nav bars.
Next week I am working on creating the filter view component on the matching page so that users can select filters to only see certain people

Jialong Lu - I was working on the matching screen view and the matching card component. I learned more about Material UI and added prettier to our repo. We ran into challenges setting up the repo and setting up the project structure. We also had issues with merge conflicts. I plan on setting up the redux store and setting up the actions for filters. I also hope to help integrate the actions with the components.

Sara Bahamdun - Last week, I worked on the signup and login pages for our application. I learned about Material UI and React router. Some issues included resolving some merge conflicts because we worked on the same files. For the next iteration, I plan on trying to integrate a card carousel for our matching cards.

Tanraj Dhillon - Last week I worked on connecting our sign up and login flow to Auth0. This involved changing our app's routing, history and connecting to the correct buttons. I also worked on creating our API repository which includes Node JS and Express. I ran into an issue of connecting Auth0 using React Hooks and learned that the solution was to create an Auth component instead. I will be working on updating our sign up flow even further and adding profile setup.
