I worked on adding form validation functionality and completing more of the filter functionality so that users can filter for specific people.
I ran into challenges with installing new libraries since we had some dependency issues and also am facing bugs with the filter logic.
In the next two weeks I plan on completing the filter logic and adding city to the users profile

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
I worked on improving the UI for the matching screen and also looking into oauth. We currently store a user's password in our database which is a security risk. If we use oauth, we can store the unique id of the user in our database and check for it instead.
What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
I have never implemented Google oauth before and adding it to our existing project posed to be a challenge. Our project is not setup to have oauth, so I had to follow a tutorial to setup a simple react app with oauth to figure out how it works. There were also issues editing the styling since we were using Material UI.
What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
My plan is to add functionality for locations, and allow users to filter by location. We also have a few bugs that need to be patched so that our project can be demoed smoothly in a few weeks. The bugs started occurring after deploying to Heroku, so we need to investigate some more to figure out the issue.

I worked on displaying all the matches a user has in this iteration. I also helped to deploy our project

I ran into several errors during the deployment process and also had to fix some merge conflicts.

my plan in the next iteration is to fix bugs, update the UI of our app and add location functionality

What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
I worked on creating our backend and db related matching architecture and api
What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
I ran into an issue where I needed to make some complex db queries but was abe to resolve them after researching mongo db query techniques.
What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
My plan is to connect our matching architecture to the front-end and implement location based matching
