Rev 9 Additional Button Firmware

I want to add an extra button to the Rev9 and wanted to know if/how Id be able to do any firmware modifications to do it. Sorry if this is a basic question, Im a beginner and couldn't quite parse where Id be able to mod the firmware in the readme. Thanks!

It runs a custom build of CircuitPython where all the pins are exposed through the board module with names like board.UP, board.DOWN, board.L1 etc. You'd likely have to add your new buttons there. Then modify the Python code to make the button do whatever you want it to do.
