Great suggestion. Currently in the process of a notification screen overhaul and am thinking exactly along these lines. Essentially four or five slot type displays and then complete freedom to drop whatever information you want in, in the relevant sizes. Hopefully something like that would meet this need. Let me know if not though. |

Currently the dashboard is limited to 8 different display styles, and it's not possible to combine the information I would like to see if it's not in one of them.
E.g., I want to see the flight number, airport codes (both if the plane is flying over, or just to or from if landing/taking off from the local airport), origin/destination names (in small font, because the screen isn't wide enough), current stats (speed, distance from me), and ideally a picture of the plane itself.
A good chunk of the screen real estate is taken up by the direction arrow, so this could be smaller to accommodate more information if desired.
The suggestion here is to have screen slots that the user can use to add as much or as little information as they like, and the "display styles" then become the number of slots, their arrangement, and maybe the background (e.g., blank or picture of plane).
