  You're using a version of the EC2 plugin that was released not long after the first announced availability of the g6e instance type.  That is also after the announcement that AWS Java SDK v1 was end of life but before the EC2 plugin had switched to use AWS Java SDK v2.  You'll need to upgrade your Jenkins controller to a more recent version and upgrade the EC2 plugin to a more recent version.
