Region field doesn't clear cleanly

When I click clear or backspace in the new "region" text selector, it doesn't respond immediately, though it does seem to register the input eventually.

This is on the ID page? The region filter? It seems to work for me. What OS and browser? I am on MacOS and tried several browsers.

I just it's just slower than I expected it to be, it does work. I'm in Edge

Ok, it may be latency to the server (it is in Northern VA). Clearing sends an event to the server as that box has to be hooked up to the backed so that we do not have to load every place in the DB, which is a lot.
