There is a common gall on juniper in my area, which gallformers suggests may be an undescribed species of Walshomyia. I started looking into that further and found a reference that asserts the gall is formed by Walshomyia juniperina eating the megastrobili of Juniperus osterosperma, and that it is commonly mistaken for a reproductive structure. I would like to add that information to the gallformers database, but I don't know the preferred way to do so.
