Is it possible to append all the tags on a hard drive to a single text file?

Hi.
Is it possible to append all the tags on a hard drive to a single text file?

This is my first ever posting so I hope I am doing this the right way. Also thanks for creating and supporting 'tag'

I use tags extensively for cataloguing my videos, but for some time the size of my video library has been much larger than my laptops hard drive. This means when I am in the field I have to use at external drive with the whole library on it, to be able to see all the tags I have used in the past.

I wondered if I was able to create a text file with all my tags appended to it. I could then copy this to my laptop and to enable me to see my current tags.
