Source code errors on xcode

Hi, I recently came across this software, and I think it’s truly amazing! I’m sorry it was abandoned. I would like to contribute to the ongoing development. I tried downloading the code, but it seems there are issues with Xcode, as if some files are missing from the project. Could someone give me a hand? Thanks in advance to everyone.

Hi, thanks for your interest! Unfortunately, as you've correctly figured out, this project isn't maintained at the moment. I won't rule out returning to it in the future, particularly if the Apple Music APIs become more friendly toward third party integrations, but for the moment I don't have any such plans. As such you'll be "on your own" as far as building the project. If you tell me exactly what's broken I might be able to offer a guess, but that's all I can really offer at the moment.

I immediately get errors with Xcode 26, Here are the first 2:

1. There is no directory MusicKitPlayer, I tried git submodule update --init --recursive and that did not help. Evidently something else is needed to get or create this source. I tried to run something in the release folder, but there was no configure script. I lost my automake fu awhile back.

2. Build target HelperAppTest (macOS) of project jmc with configuration Debug
