Latest version and GDAL error #2

Dear Sir,
I am using version 2.5.1 of the package. Wanted to confirm if it is the lastest stable version. Furthermore, I am testing the package for getting sensor geometry using the example sample code given the tutorial for Barrax region. However the following issue arises:

Error in st_transform.bbox(bbox, crs_final) :
method not available for GDAL: 3.10.1
Could you kindly help me understand why is it so, and how to solve it?
