Also just a note: it is insane how people try to correct each others code in a phpforum style context.

People post out of context code that has typos that their actual source doesn't have

Different people throw different responses back saying 'try this' without seeing if it runs

There's no way to know if any of the suggestions work at all

There's no syntax highlighting

It would be way better if the code was posted in a git repo, and people with different suggestions could just correct your code until it works (at least compiles / gets different errors), and the 'correct answer' would be merged to master.
