Contact with multiple numbers not imported

I have several contacts where I have more then 1 phonenumber listen:

• mobile
• mobile work
• home

Importing such a contact doesn't work properly. What I'd expect, is to be able to choose the number to import.

Is this how it should work? Or am I missing something?

You're probably right. I did not study how the Android client handles contacts with multiple phones. We should be doing what that does.
