Use cases

It will be good to build up a set of potential use cases. Schedules tend to crop up everywhere, but there may still be a few very noteworthy arenas.

So far I can think of:

1. Human resources tools where holiday and leave allowances need to be calculated.
2. Automation. Eg. automating checks of software if there are new releases at scheduled intervals.
3. Time series modelling where patterns depend on scheduled events.

Also useful in finance where the date and amount of payments are dependent on, for example, working days.
