No items are showing when searching through mobile browser

Description
When attempting to search from the main page if you type anything in the search bar at all there will be no results.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the landing page
2. Type in top search bar any letters
3. No cards will render

Expected behavior
Should render an updated list with all of the representatives that contain the query.

Smartphone:

• Device: iPhone 12 Pro
• OS: iOS 14.3
• Browser: chrome, safari
• Version latest (1/26/21)

Additional context
There could possibly be some issue with the synthetic trigger event that is not passing the correct value to the search.

This is the value being received as e.target.value in MenuAppBar

TypeError: The HTMLInputElement.value getter can only be used on instances of HTMLInputElement

However, when console.loging the value the correct query string appears.
