Preview not opening

Hello, I just installed your extension but I am not able to get any preview whatsoever. I am just starting with Ionic and I think I might be missing something. I followed the instructions given, I selected Preview option from the command palette but nothing shows up. Thank you.

You need to have the ionic serve command running.

Having the same problem recently... serve is running either outside of vscode or in it via extensions, still preview doesn't seem to respond or react at all when invoked.

Only thing I see when opening vscode is the following which I'm not sure could be related:

EDIT: tried uninstalling that extension and this one as well and reinstalling to no avail.

The plugin has a problem because the function "vscode.previewHtml" used by it has been deprecated.
We are working to release an update.

I launched version 0.0.20 that supports the new versions of vscode and corrects the problems mentioned.

Awesome! Had to uninstall the previous version in order to install this for
reason and vscode didn't show me the update was available.

After running ionic serve regardless of using --address localhost or
--address 0.0.0.0 and port I still get the error in vscode by the
extension:

We did not identify the Ionic serve running on host 127.0.0.1 on port 8100

I believe it is still somehow with an old version. We no longer show this type of error.
